This term, we are working on some landscape artworks based on artworks by Ton Schulten.  These are our before photos showing the first layer of our paintings.  They will look very different by the time we have finished!

This is an example of Ton Schulten's art. Check back soon to see our finished artworks!

Art - Paint Blending

In art, we have been learning some paint skills, focusing on blending paint from dark to light to create different colours. This slideshow is our finished work. Some Room 5 students have done an amazing job of blending paint so the colour only changes a little bit each time. Now we can use our newly learned skills to paint some landscapes!

Art - blending

Room 5 have been learning some paint skills that will help them with their art this term.  They have been learning to use a paintbrush correctly, apply paint thickly, work from dark to light and blend different colours.  Their task was to use 2 colours of paint and gradually paint from one colour to another.  This slideshow has photos of some of Room 5 in action blending and painting.  Check back soon to see photos of our finished paint blending.

Transformation artworks

We have been learning about transformation in maths (translation, rotation and reflection). We have created artworks to show our learning. We had to choose an image and show rotation, translation and reflection. We drew each image as a tile using pastels. Check out our amazing artworks!

Name totem artworks

Check out our amazing artwork! We learned about reflection (we had to reflect the letters in our name to create the body of our artwork) and hot and cold colours. These artworks look so cool decorating the wall of our classroom and we are really proud of how they turned out. If you are passing our classroom, please pop in and have a look!
