Animal Alphabet
Room 5 have been working on their presentation skills. They made an animal alphabet presentation using some of the skills they learned, such as matching colours to photos, using shapes for text boxes and using different clear fonts. They also discovered some interesting animals along the way!

Writing Information Reports
Today we worked in groups to analyse a selection of information reports. We looked for things that were the same in all the reports, things that were different, what kind of words/vocabulary were used and how the information reports were structured. We noticed lots of special features. Check back soon to read our information reports. We have got some excellent success criteria to help keep us focused as we write.

Unusual Animals
Room 5 worked together to make this slideshow about unusual animals. Each student had a different animal to create a slide about. We were learning how to use the research tool in google presentation to find information and photos, how to create an effective layout and how to use colour effectively. Do you know the name of any more unusual animals we could find out about? If you do, please leave us a comment!

Habitat definition
Today Room 5 used a google drawing to present their definition of a word related to our inquiry learning. We have been learning about using colour and layout effectively and learning to use some new tools, like word art and the cropping tool. This is the definition of the word habitat that we worked on together. Visit our individual blogs to check out more of our definitions.
